Since the first day that a professional set out to create a scaled drawing of a parcel of land or a building, the challenge has always been to measure the site and create an accurate representation of that site on a piece of paper.  Even with the addition of computer aided design software the challenge remains; measure the site and then draw it from scratch using the measurements taken.
